Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists Franchise Cost and Requirements for 2024

Background

AWRS is the world's largest and most reputable full-service wheel repair and replacement company. AWRS has grown over the past 17 years into an international network currently servicing 44 US states and 17 countries. Currently, there are 140 franchise owners and 400+ certified technicians serving 8,000+ auto dealerships, collision shops, tire stores, rental car agencies, auctions, general automotive service centers, and retail consumers monthly. AWRS offers a free, lifetime warranty to all customers on alloy wheel repair services performed. AWRS is also the only wheel repair company approved by General Motors to perform cosmetic and warranty repairs on wheels.

The franchise offers two investment options depending on the investment ability, location and overall population a franchisee acquires. Most new franchisees will start out operating a mobile franchise, but AWRS will consider allowing a new franchisee to operate a Fixed Repair Shop/Remanufacturing Facility franchise in areas already sold out for our mobile franchise who possess the appropriate financial resources and internationally where the mobile franchise option is not suitable.

The Mobile franchise opportunity is home-based and utilizes a Mobile Reconditioning Facility (MRF), our state-of-the-art 2-room "workshop on wheels", which is the perfect solution for high quality alloy wheel repair in a fully mobile, climate-controlled environment. This is the preferred start-up business offering low investment, limited overhead, quick ramp-up, no employees and great margins that is highly scalable.

The Fixed Repair Shop/Remanufacturing Facility option allows franchisees the ability to service wheels damaged beyond repair in our MRF, as well as a retail storefront option allowing them to service consumers directly. The fixed shop option normally is established after at least 3 MRF's are up and running, which will provide business immediately upon opening to help offset overhead. We currently have 18 fixed shops in the US.

Typically, the franchisee will start with no employees to begin operations, but AWRS does allow for the franchisee to hire a technician or have a operating partner to work in the MRF. This can allow for quicker ramp-up and provide the owner the ability to focus on building the business. AWRS franchisees serve two markets - wholesale and retail. Wholesale is defined as high volume potential accounts such as pre-owned departments of auto dealerships, car auctions, rental car fleets and insurance companies. The retail customer is typically found and serviced through cooperating retail partners or self-contained shops and through insurance and warranty claims.
