In March 2007, franchises were also offered under the name Sunburst Electric in geographic areas where the Mr. Electric name is unavailable. (The franchises are the same in all aspects other than the trade name, advertising and amount of advertising nationally. Services offered by Mr. Electric franchisees include:

Recently, The Home Depot named Mr. Electric as its national home services vendor for residential electrical work. Mr. Electric franchisees are recommended to the customers of The Home Depot for all electrical installations, services, outdoor lighting services and any other electrical service that could be required by customers. The support from the World Headquarters includes on-going support after the initial one-week intensive training at the home office by way of Franchise Consultants who visit franchisee locations to help both office and field personnel with continual polishing of their relationship building and business skill sets. Mr. Electric also offers a true marketing department as well as a public relations team that will help franchisees to continue to grow in their markets. We do not own or operate any franchises. Considering the benefits of franchising, such as established brand recognition and support from the franchisor, it's important to also take into account franchise fees and franchising royalty fees. Since most franchisors are privately owned companies, the current versions of their FDDs are typically not available unless requested directly from them.
