Tierra Encantada Franchise Cost and Requirements for 2024

Background

With a corporate business currently made up of 170+ employees, 15+ franchisee support team and a track record of million-dollar profits annually, Tierra Encantada leverages both the increasing demand for high-quality childcare and the trends in language immersion, child-led learning and organic food.

Growing Revenue
As the population continues to grow and with dual-income families making up 66% of the US population Pew Research Center), demand for childcare continues to increase. In 2021 alone, the US market size for daycare grew by 4.3% and has seen steady increases since 2016 (IBIS World, Market Research Report). Families in metropolitan areas already see month-long waiting lists for quality childcare. Tierra's own locations see waiting lists well over a year long and in 2020 pulled in an average per center of $560 thousand in net operating income and $1.9 million in gross sales. In an industry ranked the 188th largest market size in the US and projecting revenues at nearly $53 million (IBIS World, Market Research Report), Tierra franchisees can experience a turnkey opportunity that allows them to breakeven on the first day of business.

Meeting Trends
Tierra is set not just to be the leader in Spanish immersion early childhood education, but the future of childcare. Parents are increasingly looking for high-quality childcare options that give their children developmental advantages. Children immersed in a second language have been found to have improved cognitive functioning, outscore their monolingual peers in verbal and math standardized tests and are more empathetic in their ability to understand another's perspective (Harvard University). Subsequently, language immersion has gained traction among young families. Further, the parent expectation to have healthy, organic food for their kids continually increases. In 2020 alone, natural and organic food sales in the US grew by 13% to $186 billion (New Hope Network).

Gaining Publicity
Tierra's focus on Spanish immersion and development of the whole child has resulted in more than 125 media publication and segment features across the US including in the Multi-Unit Franchising Magazine, Entrepreneur, Popsugar, Forbes, Inc, PBS, ABC, FOX, NBC and CBS. Tierra is ideally positioned to address the increasing awareness of the importance of language learning and organic food.

Buying a Franchise Guide: What is a Franchise Disclosure Document?

When evaluating a franchise opportunity, reading and understanding the current version of their FDD is a necessity. Considering the benefits of franchising, such as established brand recognition and support from the franchisor, it's important to also take into account franchise fees and franchising royalty fees. Since most franchisors are privately owned companies, the current versions of their FDDs are typically not available unless requested directly from them.
