Training: Not later than 30 days before the date the Restaurant, Food Truck, or Food Trailer begins operation, up to two trainees, (one of whom must be your General Manager) must have completed, to our satisfaction, our mandatory initial training program. If you are not involved in the day to day operations of your franchiser you will be required to send an operating partner to attend a minimum of ten (10) days of training. You are required to have a designated operating partner if you do not devote your full-time to the business. The operating partner must have a minimum of a ten percent (10%) ownership
stake in your company. We will conduct this training at our corporate headquarters, at one of our affiliates' Restaurants in the San Juan, Puerto Rico, or at another location we designate. Our initial training program lasts for approximately ten (10) days. Initial training programs will be offered at various times during the year depending on the number of new franchisees entering the System, replacement general managers and other personnel needing training, the number of new Restaurants, Food Trucks, or Food Trailers being opened and the timing of the scheduled openings of Restaurants, Food Trucks, or Food Trailers. A representative of Acai Express will spend up to five (5) days on-site assisting you and your staff with your opening and training for your first Restaurant, Food Truck, or Food Trailer, up to three (3) days of on-site opening assistance and training around the opening of your second Restaurant, Food Truck, or Food Trailer, and one (1) day of on-site opening assistance and training around the opening of your third Restaurant, Food Truck, or Food Trailer. On-site training will represent an important extension of Acai Express's pre-opening training program.
